The election in Turkey Erdogan has been sworn in for a third term
The Turkish parliament has installed Recep Tayyip Erdogan as president for another five years on Saturday afternoon, international media reports.
- As president, I swear on honor and conscience before the great Turkish nation to work with all my power to protect the state's existence and independence, Erdogan said during the installation ceremony according to TT.
Now follows a ceremony in the presidential palace with international dignitaries, including Sweden's former prime minister and foreign minister Carl Bildt (M).
Later on Saturday, Erdogan is expected to appoint his new government.

Turkey sends peacekeepers to northern Kosovo
A battalion of 500 soldiers from Turkey is to reinforce NATO's peacekeeping forces in Kosovo. This was stated by the country's Ministry of Defense on Saturday, according to Bloomberg.
NATO has asked for reinforcements after 30 Italian and Hungarian soldiers of the peacekeeping force KFOR were injured in violence in northern Kosovo this week. The unrest erupted after ethnic Serbs boycotting local elections blocked elected Albanian mayors from entering municipal buildings to begin office, according to the AP.
A close associate of US President Joe Biden this week expressed concern about developments in telephone conversations with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
