The tropical storm in the Philippines has killed at least 26 people and forced over.

150,000 to flee their homes.

The authorities announced this on Thursday.

Trami, locally known as Kristine, is hitting the Fhilippines hard. The storm brought heavy downpours to the main island of Luzon, and several cities in the northeastern parts have been hit by landslides and widespread flooding.

With maximum wind speeds of 95 km/h, the storm moved west across the northern Cordillera region and storm warnings have been issued in more than 24 provinces, including the capital Manila, Reuters reports.
