The statement is made after Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Xi Jinping earlier this week, which has been interpreted as part of the countries’ efforts to create a new world order.

Trump has previously said that he is “disappointed” with Putin, but not concerned about deepening ties between Russia and China.

Violence in Congo-Kinshasa
UN report: M23 and the military may have committed war crimes

The Rwandan-backed rebel group M23 and the military have committed serious human rights violations in eastern Congo-Kinshasa, UN investigators say, according to news agencies.

Some so serious that they may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“Both the Congolese and Rwandan governments must take urgent steps to ensure respect for international law by their national forces and associated groups, and to cease supporting the latter,” a UN report says.

Fresh unrest erupted in eastern Congo-Kinshasa this year when M23 captured the cities of Goma and Bukavu. Before that, the M23 militia group had taken control of parts of the area, leading to a humanitarian crisis.
