The attack is said to be directed at Collins Aerospace, a service provider for several airlines globally, which has caused technical problems. The attack has meant that all check-in must be done manually, according to Brussels Airport.

Airport chaos in several parts of Europe after the attack

There are currently severe delays at several major airports in Europe after the cyber attack on Collins Aerospace. In London, Brussels and Berlin, travelers have witnessed great chaos, reports Sky News.

– None of us have any information whatsoever. When we ask the staff, they shout at us, says Helen Steel, who is stuck at Heathrow.

Brussels Airport says half of all flights scheduled for Sunday have been cancelled.
