Lebanon Urges the World: Stop Israel's Attacks
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam is urging the world to put pressure on Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon, AFP reports. Israel began new bombings in the southern parts of the country on Thursday afternoon.
"The international community, especially the guarantors of the ceasefire, must put maximum pressure on Israel so that it immediately ceases its aggressions," writes Nawaf Salam on X.
Since the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah on November 27 last year, the United States, France and the UN force UNIFIL have participated together with Israel and Lebanon in a committee that monitors the ceasefire, according to Orient Today.
Israel: Evacuate southern Lebanon ahead of airstrikes
The Israeli army has issued a warning to residents in southern Lebanon of an upcoming airstrike on Hezbollah targets, AFP reports.
IDF spokesman Avichai Adrai, in a post on X, urges residents of designated buildings in several villages to evacuate. “You are in buildings used by the terrorist group Hezbollah,” he writes in the post.
