Netanyahu: Intensive operation is being prepared in the north
Israel is preparing for a "very intensive operation" on the Lebanese border. This is what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, according to several media outlets.

75 dead after Israeli attacks on refugee camps
At least 75 people have died in Israeli attacks in central Gaza in the past 24 hours, Al Jazeera and several other media outlets report, citing a spokesperson for Al Aqsa Hospital.

HRW: Israel uses white phosphorus in Lebanon
A report from Human Rights Watch shows that Israel used white phosphorus in attacks in Lebanon, TT reports.
"Israel's widespread use of white phosphorus in southern Lebanon puts civilians at serious risk and contributes to the displacement of civilians," the human rights organization writes in the report.
According to the organization, they have been able to verify that "Israeli forces have used white phosphorus ammunition in at least 17 municipalities in southern Lebanon since October."
The laws of war do not allow the use of white phosphorus as a weapon.

Israeli court: Al Jazeera may resume broadcasts
Al Jazeera is allowed to broadcast in Israel ten days earlier than previously requested by Israel's Communications Minister Shlomo Karai. An Israeli court decided that today, writes Haaretz.
Following a decision in the Knesset in May, Al Jazeera shut down its operations in Israel. The media company was accused of having too one-sided reporting.
The decision to ban Al Jazeera has been heavily criticized by press freedom organisations.

3,000 Israeli police on site before flag march
