Governor: “Minnesota – which side are you on?”
The tone between Donald Trump and Tim Walz is hardening.
Now the governor of Minnesota is urging residents to choose a side.
– Change is coming, we can feel it, he says.
Minnesota is shaken by another fatal shooting by federal migrant hunters.
Large protests between protesters and ICE agents have erupted on the streets of Minneapolis. Now Governor Tim Walz has called in the National Guard to quell the situation.
– If it was Donald Trump’s intention to make an example of Minnesota, then I am very proud of the example that the world is seeing. We believe in law and order in this state, we believe in peace and we believe that Donald Trump must pull these 3,000 untrained agents out of Minnesota before they kill another person, he says.

Then he addresses the residents:
– I have a question for all of you. Which side do you want to be on? Do you choose the all-powerful federal government that can kill, injure, intimidate, and kidnap citizens along the streets? Or do you choose the nurse at the veterans hospital who died as a witness to such a government?
Walz says he has been asked how many National Guardsmen he can put on the streets to defend Minneapolis.
– This is not about how many people I can put on the streets. It is about how many of these people, these agents who have been thrown into this unbearable chaos that Donald Trump can get out of here.
– Minnesotans, you have won the hearts of people all over the country. And you have done it through your peaceful, determined defense of your neighbors and the Constitution. Stay peaceful and stay safe. Change is coming, we feel it. But this fight continues.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday night, Donald Trump launched a new attack on Minnesota:
"Minnesota is a criminal cover-up of the massive economic fraud that has been going on!", he wrote.
