Netanyahu: The intensive phase in Rafah is coming to an end
The "intense phase" of the fighting against Hamas in Rafah in Gaza is soon over, says the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu according to several media. However, he emphasizes that this does not mean that the war is about to end.
- After the intensive phase, we will be able to redeploy some forces to the north, says Netanyahu.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister also defended this week's actions where he claimed that the US is withholding weapons deliveries. According to CNN, Netanyahu says he chose to speak publicly because the situation has remained unchanged for several months despite talks with the White House.
The US has dismissed the statements as "completely untrue".

The Israel-Lebanon conflict
Minister: All reports of weapons storage are false
Lebanon's Transport Minister Ali Hamieh denies the information that Hezbollah is storing Iranian weapons at the international airport in Beirut, reports AFP.
The minister called a press conference on Sunday where he said that "everything that has been written in The Telegraph is false" and that weapons are neither leaving nor arriving at the airport.
At the same time, he has invited journalists and ambassadors of other countries to visit the airport.
The alarm from whistleblowers: Hezbollah stores Iranian weapons at Beirut airport
Hezbollah is using Lebanon's largest civilian airport to store weapons from Iran, airport whistleblowers told The Telegraph. According to witnesses, customs officials have been bribed and "mysterious large boxes" flown in from Iran are said to contain everything from artillery shells to robots.
An employee at the international airport, located just six kilometers from the city center, fears that the airport will become a military target and that the country will be isolated even more from the outside world.
- It is only a matter of time before a disaster occurs.
"Unusually large boxes" from Iran were reportedly seen at the airport as early as November.
