The tailwind continues for the National Assembly: "Are ready"
The far-right National Gathering aims for a change of power in France, says leader Jordan Bardella at a press conference.
- Three words: We are ready.
The latest opinion polls show continued growing support for the party: According to a Bloomberg calculation, they would get 34.2 percent of the vote if there were elections today, while the combined left-wing coalition would get 28.2 percent and President Emmanuel Macron's center coalition 20.6 .
- Seven long years of Macronism have weakened the country, says Bardella, who, among other things, promises to strengthen the economy, tighten immigration policy and get a tighter grip on schools.
In the foreign policy area, Bardella says that the National Assembly will not send any French troops to Ukraine, something that Macron has recently opened up to.

"You can trust that until May 2027 I will be your president, your constant protector of the republic, our values," he writes according to TT.
