Russian invasion The fighting

American data: Troops to Russia were North Korea's idea

American intelligence agencies have concluded that the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia was North Korea's idea, The New York Times reports.

During the fall, many Western analysts concluded that the North Korean soldiers were a sign that Russian President Vladimir Putin had asked dictator Kim Jong-Un for help with troops. Now, American officials believe that it may have been the other way around and that Kim Jong-Un received nothing directly in return, although he hopes that Russia will return the favor in the future.

The American officials who spoke to the newspaper state that North Korea sent its best-trained special forces, but that many of them appeared to be malnourished and that none of them had any real combat experience.

Satellite images: North Korea's deliveries to Putin are increasing

New satellite images show how North Korea is sending more and more ammunition to Russia and greatly expanding its weapons production at home, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The factory in eastern North Korea that manufactures the missiles that Russia is sending to Ukraine appears to be developing rapidly. A new building has been erected to try to hide how the factory loads the missiles, according to satellite company SI Analytics.

In addition, 200 factories in North Korea are reportedly working at full capacity to supply Russia with more weapons and ammunition.

In exchange, North Korea receives oil and large sums of money. According to South Korean information, Russia has also sent technicians and air defense systems.

At the same time, South Korea's Yonhap writes that intelligence information from South Korea's military indicates that North Korea is preparing to send even more soldiers, as well as kamikaze drones, to Russia.
