Today, Zelensky and European leaders are gathering in Paris to talk things over before calling Donald Trump.

The question is whether Trump has given up on peace in Ukraine – and his quest for the Nobel Peace Prize.

– I have nothing to say about that. I’m not seeking attention, I just want to save lives, Trump tells CBS.

Today at 10.30 European leaders will gather to discuss the war in Ukraine.

The meeting is expected to lead to proposals for new aid packages for Ukraine and economic sanctions against Russia.

The leaders will also discuss a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, with European forces stationed along the border between Ukraine and Russia.

At 14.00, the leaders of the major powers will jointly call US President Donald Trump.

At 3 p.m. they will hold a press conference to share their findings.

Participants in the Paris meeting include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
