The streets of Copenhagen are currently filled with protests against Trump's threat to take over Greenland.

- I'm really angry about the situation, says Alex Østergaard, 31.

A large demonstration is currently marching through Copenhagen.

These are people who want to show their disgust at Trump's threat to take over Greenland and show that they stand behind the Greenlandic people.

31-year-old Alex is one of them. He gets tears in his eyes when he sees all the people.

– I am touched that so many have come here today, says 31-year-old Alex Østergaard, who has painted three Greenlandic flags on his face.

Before leaving, several people spoke at Rådhustorget.

– Today we are flying the Greenlandic flag. We stand up for Greenlandic democracy and that Greenlandic human lives cannot be bargained for.

– A country has no price. A people cannot be bought, says Sisse Marie Welling, the mayor of Copenhagen.

Right now, the protesters are walking along Strøget. Several of them go into a store to buy a Greenlandic flag – but are told that they have sold out of them.

At the same time, large demonstrations are taking place in several other Danish cities and in Nuuk.
