Giant ruby found in Myanmar
A real heavyweight ruby has been found by miners in Myanmar. The discovery was made in April and the gemstone weighs about two and a half kilograms, or 11,000 carats.
It is the second largest ruby found in the country, but is valued higher due to its fine color and quality, writes the New York Post.
Nearly 90 percent of the world's rubies come from Myanmar and are an important source of income for the country
