First LNG tanker from Qatar has traveled through Hormuz
For the first time since the Iran war broke out, a Qatari LNG tanker on Sunday navigated through the Strait of Hormuz. Bloomberg writes, describing it as a sign that the flow of natural gas to the world market may be about to increase.
The vessel is the Kharaitiyat, which loaded at the Ras Laffan export facility in early May and is now in the Gulf of Oman, heading for Pakistan. According to tracking data, the vessel appears to have chosen the northern route through the strait, which runs along the Iranian coast.
