At least 17 dead in Israeli attacks on Lebanon

Several people, including at least one child, have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon during the day. This is reported by AP, among others.

South of the capital Beirut, four people were killed in three drone attacks on vehicles. At least 13 were killed in airstrikes on southern Lebanon, including a man and his twelve-year-old daughter, the local health ministry said.

At the same time, the Iran-backed militia group Hezbollah said it had targeted Israeli soldiers in northern Israel with a drone attack, AFP reported.

Both Israel and Hezbollah have continued to attack despite the ceasefire that came into effect on April 17.
