At a press conference, the mayor says that Mosley was found at a fence only ten meters from the beach of Agia Marina, near the cave system known as the "Abyss" where the search effort has been concentrated since Saturday evening.
According to the mayor, Mosley is believed to have died of heatstroke and dehydration.
The world-renowned doctor and health profiler was found by a Greek TV crew who hired a boat to film the coastal strip.
The area where Mosley was found is very difficult to access due to the terrain and is only really accessible by boat, according to Sky News correspondent Sadiya Chowdhury.

Searched for Mosley in the "Abyss" cave system
On Sunday morning, world-renowned health profiler Michael Mosley was found dead. At that time, the search mission had been directed at a large cave and tunnel system called "The Abyss". Parts of the complex are under the surface of the water and fears were that Mosley had somehow gotten lost and ended up there.
The last sign of Mosley was from surveillance cameras in the village of Pedi at around 2pm on Wednesday. Mosley should have then headed towards the town of Symi but he may have gone wrong and ended up in a mountainous area in the direction of the beach of Agia Marina. In this area, in addition to rugged mountains, there is the dangerous cave system "Avgrunden". In the very hot temperatures, the mountain area can become very dangerous.
Rescue divers scoured caves and mountain sides in search of Mosley. In the end, he was found dead - just ten meters from the beach of Agia Marina. According to the mayor of Symi, Mosley is believed to have died of dehydration.
