Swedes return to their hotels after a chaotic night
Swedish tourists who were forced to spend the night on football pitches and parking lots on the fire-ravaged island of Kos can now return to their holiday homes, reports Aftonbladet.
- We have started the work of transporting the guests back to their hotel, so that they can continue their holiday where they have been, says Adam Györki, Nordic communications manager at Tui.
The tourists who traveled with Apollo or Ving have been moved to new hotels. Apollo's press officer tells the newspaper that the situation is currently under control.

Swedish tourists in uncertainty: "People sleep on the ground"
About a hundred Swedes have been forced to evacuate their hotels in the fire-ravaged Kardamena on the Greek island of Kos.
- It cannot be described in words. The wind is blowing straight towards our hotel. The reception says that the fire is under control, but it does not look like it is actually under control, says traveler Sam to SVT Nyheter.
20-year-old William Hansson from Gothenburg has been directed to a football field together with a large number of other tourists.
- Children are screaming, people are sleeping on the ground and the military is handing out water but no information, he tells Aftonbladet.
Apollo's press officer Martina Krantz tells SVT that at the moment they have not received any information from authorities and rescue services that it would be appropriate to evacuate the island.
