The Wagner group in Africa
Attack against the Wagner group in Mali deadliest in years
This weekend's attacks against the Wagner Group in Mali were the deadliest against the Russian-linked paramilitary group in years. That's what analysts tell AP.
About 50 Wagner soldiers are believed to have been killed after rebels and al-Qaeda-linked groups ambushed and attacked Wagner near the border with Algeria.
Ukraine's military intelligence service claims it had a hand in the game. Spokesman Andrey Yusov says Ukraine provided "necessary information, and not just information, that contributed to a successful military operation against Russian war criminals."
Yusov would not say whether any Ukrainians actually participated in the attack. Instead, he promises more details later, writes The Guardian.

New EU Parliament
Criticized Danish politician leaves large bank's board
The newly elected Danish EU parliamentarian Stine Bosse is leaving the board of the major Norwegian bank DNB with immediate effect. The bank writes this in a press release.
Bosse has been criticized for sitting on double chairs because DNB carries out lobbying activities in Brussels. EU politicians should not engage in such side activities, according to Transparency International.
Stine Bosse represents the center party Moderaterne and has claimed that the criticism is unwarranted because her committee does not deal with economic issues.
