Violence has broken out outside a mosque in Southport, England, British media reports.
According to Sky News, a large group of people, believed to belong to the far-right movement English Defense League (EDL), have started throwing bricks and bottles at the mosque.
Several are also said to have attacked the police and one policeman is believed to have broken his nose.
According to the BBC, a police car has been set on fire.
The violence is believed to be connected to incorrect information about Monday's stabbing in which three children were killed, writes Sky. Information has abounded that the perpetrator is an asylum seeker who came to Great Britain by boat.
- We have already said that the arrested person was born in Great Britain and speculation does not help anyone, says police chief Alex Goss.
Earlier on Tuesday, police urged people not to share unconfirmed information, saying a name circulated is not the suspect.
The only information that the police have released regarding the perpetrator is that it is a 17-year-old boy from the town of Banks, and that he was born in Cardiff. That's what The Guardian writes.

The Prime Minister on site: "The country's thoughts are with you"
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer today visited the site in Southport where eleven people were stabbed and three children killed yesterday.
Starmer says he is there to honor the victims, according to the BBC. He laid flowers next to a handwritten note, with the following message:
“To the victims, families and residents of Southport. Our hearts are broken. There are no words for such a deep loss. The country's thoughts are with you."
Starmer was also confronted by some of the mourners. One shouted:
- How many more people will die on our streets, Prime Minister? How many more children?
