Nine crewmen are missing after a ship capsized off Taiwan, several media reports.
The incident is linked to typhoon Gaemi, which is advancing in the region. The rescue work has been made more difficult by the harsh weather.
The storm has also caused several ships to run aground.

Oil tankers have sunk off the coast of the Philippines
A ship carrying 1.4 million liters of oil has sunk outside the capital of the Philippines, Manila, writes AFP.
Oil has spread over an area of 3.7 kilometers and is carried northeast by strong currents.
- We are fighting against the clock and will do our best to stop the leak immediately, said Armando Balilo, spokesperson for the Philippine Coast Guard.
He warns that if all the oil leaks out, it would be the largest spill in the country's history. Thousands of fishermen and tour operators depend on the water environment.

Hundreds injured in deadly typhoon in Taiwan: 'A threat'
At least two people died and more than 200 were injured when Typhoon Gaemi moved into Taiwan overnight, reports AFP. In the city of Kaohsiung, a woman died after a tree fell on her car. Another woman died in connection with part of a building collapsing on top of her.
Thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes due to the storm. On Thursday morning local time, the weather agency in the country warned that "wind and rain continue to pose a threat to various parts of Taiwan".
When the typhoon was at its strongest, the wind was around 50 meters per second.
