Charles and Trump exchanged tributes: "Incredible guys"
King Charles of Great Britain and US President Donald Trump exchanged tributes to each other and their respective nations during a gala dinner in London on Wednesday evening.
Charles praised Trump's "personal commitment to finding solutions to some of the world's most difficult conflicts", among other things.
Trump thanked the royal family and paid tribute to several historical Britons, including the authors William Shakespeare, Rudyard Kipling and George Orwell, whom he described as "incredible guys".

Thousands in London demonstrate against Trump's
At the same time as US President Donald Trump meets with Britain's King Charles, protests are taking place in London against his state visit, several media outlets report.
According to Sky News, around 5,000 people have joined the protests in the capital.
The demonstration has been organized by the "Stop Trump Coalition", which consists of 50 organizations, writes TT.
One of the people who is participating in the demonstrations, Josh Spiller, tells the Financial Times that he is there because the UK “failed to criticize Trump”.
The royal family welcomed Trump to Windsor
During the afternoon, Donald Trump was welcomed to Windsor Castle outside London. He and Melania Trump were welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla. Prince William and Princess Kate were also there to greet Trump.
Together they rode a horse and carriage in the area. Trump rode in the same carriage as the king. Camilla and Melania Trump traveled together and William and Kate share a carriage with the American ambassador.
After the horse and carriage ride, the president was welcomed with a military ceremony in the area. The afternoon ends with a private lunch at Windsor.
