The impeachment against Trump
Trump's rollercoaster - empty and shocked but calm
The historic indictment against Donald Trump has led to a wave of emotions in the former US president, reports the Washington Post. Immediately after the grand jury's decision to indict Trump, the ex-president had a dinner at his Florida home Mar-a-Lago with a radio personality.
The atmosphere must have been good, but sources state that Trump must have reacted with a variety of emotions to the news of the indictment at the same time. "Upset", "annoyed", "blank" and "shocked" are some of the adjectives used to describe the reactions. Other sources state at the same time that Trump should have been "very calm" and "stoic, actually".
David Urban, a longtime adviser to Trump who is not working for him on the upcoming presidential campaign, believes the world will see a very angry ex-president when he appears in court in New York on Tuesday.

The prosecution is "political gold" for Donald Trump - support is rushing
The fact that Donald Trump will be prosecuted on Tuesday looks in many ways to be something positive for the ex-president.
More than the equivalent of 40 million kroner in donations came to his presidential campaign in the first 24 hours after the indictment was announced on Thursday. That's what the Washington Post writes with reference to Trump's staff. An adviser who has worked for Trump for a long time says that the indictment is definitely "political gold".
Voter support is also surging for the former president. In a YouGov poll, published by Yahoo on Saturday, Trump leads his presumptive Republican opponent Ron DeSantis by 26 percentage points. In the survey from February, Trump's lead was eight percentage points.

Media demand that the judge present the charges
Several US news organizations are demanding that Judge Juan Merchan immediately make public the charges against ex-president Donald Trump, reports NBC. In addition to the NBC editorial team, among others the news agency AP and the New York Times support the demand.
The media also want the judge to allow cameras in the courtroom.
"Due to the overwhelming public interest in the content of the indictment, and because there is no reason to keep the indictment secret pending Trump's appearance in court, we respectfully request that it be made public immediately," the organizations write.
They also argue that the secret indictment only contributes to speculation.
The charges are to be presented on Tuesday, according to previous announcements.
