Focuses the search effort on mountain area after the images
At dawn on Saturday, the search for doctor and health profiler Michael Mosley resumed on the Greek island of Symi. He has been missing since Wednesday.
Divers, helicopters and drones participate in the rescue mission. Manolis Tsimpouka, who organizes the search, says that at the moment there is nothing to go on, the BBC reports.
The last sign of life is footage from a surveillance camera taken 20 minutes after Mosley said goodbye to his wife on St Nikolas beach. The surveillance images, taken in the village of Pedi, indicate that Mosley struck a mountainous trail away from the coast inland towards the town of Symi. According to a Greek police officer, the entire search effort is now directed towards that area, writes the Daily Mail.
The trail is described as difficult to follow with a high risk of getting lost. A participant in the search mission tells the BBC that it is "a race against time" to find Mosley.
