Large protests in Israel - police used water cannon
Large protests took place in Israel on Saturday night. In Tel Aviv, police dispersed protesters with water cannons, the Times of Israel reports.
The demonstrators demanded new elections in Israel and the release of the hostages. The joy among those who protested was great that four of the hostages were released on Saturday, but at the same time they expressed anger at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The demonstration in Tel Aviv started peacefully but spread, with activists blocking roads and setting off fireworks. 33 people were detained in connection with the protests.
In Jerusalem, hundreds blocked the intersection outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence. "We don't want more people to be killed, it's time for an agreement!", shouted the protesters according to TT.

Hamas: Three hostages killed during Israel's release
Three of the hostages were killed in connection with Israel's liberation operation on Saturday, according to a spokesperson for Hamas's military branch. Reuters reports.
According to the information, one of the dead must have been an American citizen.
Four hostages were freed during the major Israeli operation - all kidnapped in the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7. According to authorities in Gaza, over 200 people were killed in connection with the operation.
