Kremlin: Trump's conspiracy claim "a joke"

The Kremlin hopes that Donald Trump's accusation that North Korea, Russia and China are plotting a plot against the United States was a joke, reports AFP.

The background is a statement from the American president on Truth Social, regarding China's high-level meeting:

"Please give Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-Un my warmest greetings, as you are conspiring against the United States of America," he wrote.

Place of honor for Kim and Putin at military parade

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un were in place next to Chinese President Xi Jinping on their way to Wednesday's large military parade in Beijing.

The three leaders arrived on a red carpet at Tiananmen Square.

In his opening speech, Xi said China is “unstoppable” while warning that the world is facing a choice between “war and peace,” according to AFP.

The parade, which marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, will showcase parts of China’s collection of military vehicles and heavy weapons.

China’s bragging rights: Robot wolves, lasers and underwater drones

At today’s huge military parade in Beijing, China displayed a mix of conventional weapons and advanced weapons technology, including hypersonic missiles, laser-based air defense systems and underwater drones. It also included the latest intercontinental ballistic missile DF-61, which can carry nuclear warheads to distant targets. According to CNN, the display of the DF-61 came as a surprise to seasoned analysts.
