Thrown things in mysterious video – the answers are confusing

Amidst speculation about Donald Trump, someone threw things out of a window in the White House.

And created confusion.

– It's cleaning, says the president's staff.

– It's AI, says Trump.

Ahead of Trump's long press conference at the White House on Tuesday evening Swedish time, he had been out of the public eye for almost a week.

An unusually long time for the president who usually appears several times a day on all sorts of platforms.

Throwing things in mysterious video

The absence caused already ongoing speculation about Trump's health, due to bruises on his hand and swelling on his legs, to increase exponentially.

Questions about his condition were googled wildly over the weekend.

In the midst of all this, a mysterious video from the White House was circulated in which someone throws several objects out of a second-floor window.

“Is someone doing a Sunday cleaning?” wrote the account Washington Problems, which was the first to publish the video.

Not surprisingly, many on social media had a theory.

Videon på hur någon kastar ut saker ur ett fönster i Vita huset har fått stor spridning.
The video of someone throwing things out of a White House window has been widely shared.

From the bedroom window

John Jackson, an American ex-soldier and Republican who fought in the Ukrainian army, wrote:

“Why is someone throwing things out of the White House window? It is completely incomprehensible under normal circumstances,” he writes on X.

“What the hell is the Secret Service doing”?

The window is said to belong to Lincoln’s bedroom, which was named after then-President Truman decorated it with items from Lincoln’s time, on the second floor in the southeast corner of the White House, writes the New York Post.

After reporters asked about the mysterious video, a White House spokesperson said it was a craftsman doing work in the room.

New answer

Why things were thrown out the window and what it was that was thrown out has not been answered by the White House.

Everything became more mysterious during Trump's press conference.

The president was then asked about the video and claimed, contrary to his staff, that it was "probably made by AI" and therefore fake.

He then gave a longer explanation about how heavy the windows are and how difficult they are to open.

- My wife complained about it the other day. She said she would like some fresh air, but it's not possible, he said.

Trump also gave different answers to the speculation about his health. At first he said he hadn't heard them, then he went through what had been said and then he said again that he hadn't heard anything.

The press conference, which was actually about the headquarters of the US Space Command being moved from Colorado to Alabama, covered a wide range of topics.

Surprised the Pentagon

Trump began by saying that the US military had attacked a drug boat with connections to a drug cartel in Venezuela.

According to The New York Times, the Pentagon was surprised by the president's revelation and initially referred all questions to the White House.

Only later did the Department of Defense publish a statement stating that it had "carried out a targeted attack" and that more information would be forthcoming.

The president also said, among other things, that the National Guard "should go into" Chicago and returned to his suggestion from his first term that "some teachers might have to be armed" to stop school shootings.
