US warns against flights over Latin America

Airlines operating in Mexico and parts of Central and Latin America should “exercise caution” when flying over certain countries, the US aviation authority warns.

According to the authority, the call has to do with “military activities” and potential disruptions in control systems.

The warning – which comes two weeks after the US captured Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro – is valid until March 17 and covers parts of Mexico, Panama and Ecuador.
