Israel closes schools
Israel has carefully prepared for an attack. The country's forces are on high alert. During Saturday evening, all schools in the country closed.
Larger gatherings of people have been banned in some places. In the parts of the country that are considered safe, a maximum of 1,000 people may gather.
Similar measures have not been put in place since the Hamas attack on October 7 last year.

The background is an attack last week on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. Several high-ranking figures in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were killed.
Israel is blamed for the attack, but has not claimed responsibility. Iran has vowed revenge for the attack.
