Ukrainian attack on air base and refineries in Russia
Ukraine's intelligence service SBU carried out drone attacks against two oil refineries and a military airport in Russia's Krasnodar region last night, a security source told the Kyiv Independent.
"The SBU continues to effectively target military and infrastructure facilities behind enemy lines, reducing Russia's ability to wage war," the source said.
Ukrainian sources describe it as a large-scale attack and according to the SBU, the drones hit "important technical objects", writes AFP. Images shared by the normally well-informed account OSINT Technical show damage to a runway at the airport and flames rising from the refineries.
Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev admits that Ukraine "tried" to attack the targets, but claims that it did not cause extensive damage.
