New pictures show Queen Silvia with a bloodshot eye

The king and queen receive Finland's presidential couple.
But in terrifying pictures from the castle, Queen Silvia can be seen with a bloodshot eye.
- The queen has been exposed to cold drafts, says the court's head of information Margareta Thorngren, to Expressen.
On Wednesday, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia received Finland's presidential couple Alexander Stubb and Suzanne Innes-Stubb at the Royal Palace in connection with a state visit.
But in the pictures from the meeting, something stands out. Queen Silvia is very bloodshot in one eye.
"The queen has been exposed to cold drafts in the eye," writes the court's head of information Margareta Thorgren in a text message to Expressen.
"Otherwise, the queen is doing well," Thorngren told the newspaper.
The presidential couple were received by the royal couple at HM the King's court stables and then the royal couple and the presidential couple traveled in cortege from the court stables to the Royal Palace. This was followed by a welcome ceremony, a press meeting and subsequent visits to the Bernadotte Museum and the Riksdag.
The first day of the state visit ends with the royal couple giving a gala dinner for the presidential couple. Tomorrow, the Finnish presidential couple will visit Gothenburg for the second and last day of the state visit.
