US inflation unchanged - market relief

US inflation was 2.8 percent in March, according to the Fed's favorite core PCE measure. It was the same annual rate as in February, but higher than the preliminary tips, which were 2.6 percent.

On a monthly basis, core PCE rose 0.3 percent, which was in line with expectations. It is this number that analysts usually attach the greatest importance to. After yesterday's unexpectedly high PCE index for the first quarter, there were fears that today's monthly figure would be another cold shower.

The Stockholm Stock Exchange strengthened slightly immediately after the report was released and the US long-term interest rates fell.

Rumor: Samsung is running a Galaxy event in Paris on July 10

Samsung is preparing for a big summer event, which according to recent rumors will take place in Paris on July 10. If the information is correct, then it is likely then that we will see more of the wearable tech device Galaxy Ring, as well as of the new foldable phones that Samsung has in the works. A new Galaxy Watch, new tablets and some other things may also appear during the event.

Samsung will likely make an official announcement around the event in May, if the date is correct.
