Expert: Fully possible with an arrest warrant from the ICC
It is entirely possible that the International Criminal Court (ICC) will issue an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. That's what Mark Klamberg, professor of international law and former ICC employee, tells Ekot.
- What is not talked about as much in the media, which I think is likely, is that there will also be an arrest warrant against leaders in Hamas at the same time.
According to Reuters sources, ICC staff have interviewed staff at Gaza's two largest hospitals about possible crimes. It could confirm Israeli media reports that an arrest warrant for Netanyahu is pending.

USA: Five IDF units have committed serious crimes
Before the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7 last year, five Israeli military units committed serious human rights violations outside Gaza. This is stated by the US State Department according to Reuters.
- Four of these five associations have remedied the violations, says spokesperson Vedant Patel.
In what way the unions have broken the laws is not clear from Patel's statement. It is also not clear how the problems have been fixed.
The US has investigated several IDF units suspected of violating the Leahy Act, which is designed to prevent US military aid from going to units that violate international law. According to Haaretz, Patel says that they will not block any support for the unions.

IDF unit blows up buildings in Gaza: "We have become addicted to explosions"
More than half of the buildings in Gaza are estimated to have been destroyed since 7 October. The investigative journalist network Bellingcat has, via open sources, drawn a picture of how an IDF unit, 8219 Commando, is blasting its way through Gaza.
Clips filmed by the unit show the soldiers lighting cigarettes and smiling in the foreground while buildings are blown up in the background.
"We have become addicted to explosions," writes a commander on social media.
According to Mairav Zonszein, senior analyst at the think tank International Crisis Group, there are often revenge motives behind the explosions. The IDF has a policy of deterrence, which is to fight back ten times harder, she says.
The IDF says it is only destroying Hamas "terrorist infrastructure" housed in civilian buildings.
