Starting today, Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon will serve a four-month prison sentence for refusing to appear for questioning in the United States Congress after the storming of the Capitol in 2021.
In an interview with the BBC, Bannon says that the populist movement Make America great again (MAGA) does not need him to guarantee that Donald Trump emerges victorious from the presidential election.
- The Maga army will not stop until we have the final victory, he says.

Sources: Jill Biden decides future of campaign
There are only two people who really have a say in the future of Joe Biden's presidential campaign. It's Joe Biden himself - and his wife Jill. This is stated by sources with access to NBC News.
- If she decides that it is time for a course change, then there will be a course change, says a source.
Joe Biden is expected during the night to Monday, Swedish time, to discuss the future of the campaign with the family at the president's country estate Camp David. A spokesperson writes in a statement to NBC that it is not a formal meeting.
Several heavy-hitting Democratic names have urged Joe Biden not to run for re-election after what is considered a very weak performance in a debate against Donald Trump earlier this week.

Three out of four do not believe that Biden is healthy enough for re-election
72 percent of Americans don't think Joe Biden has the mental ability to run for president, according to a new Yougov/CBS News poll.
It is an increase of almost ten percentage points compared to the last poll, which was conducted before Friday's debate between Biden and Donald Trump.
For Donald Trump, the same figure is 49 percent.
Perhaps more alarming for the sitting president, however, is that 46 percent of Democrats who responded to the survey say they do not think he should run for re-election. There, too, an increase of just over ten percent can be seen after the debate
