Protesters march in Nuuk, Greenland

Demonstrations against US President Donald Trump's intention to take over Greenland were held in Nuuk, Greenland on Saturday.

The protests were in line with demonstrations held around Copenhagen.

Several thousand people gathered at the protests, including Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen. Many of the protesters wore caps with the text Make America go away – a reference to Trump's Maga movement (Make America great again).

The protesters then gathered for a protest march to the US consulate in Nuuk, reports Danish public service broadcaster DR.
