IMF forecast on Russia: Growing fastest of all
Despite Western sanctions against Russia, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects the Russian economy to grow by 3.2 percent in 2024, up from 2.6 percent in January. This is reported by the BBC and refers to the IMF's latest economic forecast.
According to Patya Koeva Brooks, deputy head of the IMF, Russia's growth is partly due to stable oil exports and high government investment. Strong private consumption also contributes.
Russia's growth is higher than in the other developed economies included in the G7. The largest increase is accounted for by the USA, which is expected to have a GDP growth of 2.7 percent.

Tesla's owners vote on Musk's record pay package - again
The electric car manufacturer Tesla is again asking the shareholders to vote on Elon Musk's controversial salary package, now valued at 47 billion dollars, equivalent to 487 billion kroner, international media write.
The vote at the June 13 meeting is likely to spark a battle between investors and governance experts over whether shareholders should provide Elon Musk with the largest pay package in the nation's history, according to the New York Times.
Previously, a court in Delaware invalidated the compensation package from 2018, which at the time had a value of 56 billion dollars.
