The respite is over.

Israeli tanks are rolling again in northern Gaza.

Airstrikes reportedly killed several children in southern Gaza.

Last Saturday night, Iran attacked Israel directly for the first time.

It has been described as a world event.

But something unique also happened in Gaza.

For the first time in months, it became completely quiet in some places, several Gazans described on social media.

Drones and helicopters were redirected to defend Israel.

The war has resumed

Since then, the eyes of the world have continued to be directed towards the escalation between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Israel's war against HamasHamas has resumed.

During Tuesday, Israeli tanks drove into northern Gaza for new raids, to places they had not been in for several weeks, writes the Reuters .writes the Reuters news agency.

At the same time, air attacks were directed at, among other things, the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, where the majority of Gaza's 2.3 million inhabitants sought refuge, according to the instructions of the Israeli military.

At least two attacks took place against the city during Tuesday evening and night, writes Reuters.

- He played by the door, we did no harm, I promise, we did nothing.

The Hamas-run Ministry of Health has also stated that a police car in Gaza City was bombed by Israeli warplanes. Seven police officers are said to have been killed.

The Israeli military has not commented on the events.

In its daily update, it states that "a number of terrorists" have been killed and "40 terrorist targets" in Gaza have been hit in the past 24 hours.

It has also been made clear that the previously planned ground offensive against Rafah - with the aim of crushing Hamas - is still to be carried out.

However, exactly when is not known.

FACTS

Background

More than six months have passed since October 7, when Hamas attacked Israel in what is being called the worst massacre of Jews in modern times.

Over 1,100 people, mainly Israelis, were killed and 240 people were kidnapped. Over 130 of them are still believed to be with Hamas in Gaza.

The military invasion that Israel launched shortly afterwards against the Gaza Strip - with the aim of exterminating Hamas and bringing back the hostages - has been very bloody. By Palestinians it is called a new Nakba, catastrophe, just like the expulsion of Palestinians that took place in 1948 when the state of Israel was established.

According to the Hamas-controlled health department in Gaza, over 33,000 Palestinians are estimated to have been killed by Israeli attacks, the majority of them women and children. Over 76,000 have been injured.

The UN has also warned that famine is imminent.
