Trump: "Want to meet Putin and end the war"

- Now I would really like to meet Putin soon and end that war, he says.
According to Donald Trump, he held talks with Putin about reducing nuclear weapons arsenals as early as 2020.
Trump also says that he has spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping about the possibilities of bringing about peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
Ukraine's response
Younger recruits to solve Ukraine's soldier shortage
Ukraine is to begin recruiting soldiers between the ages of 18 and 25, reports AP.
The background is a shortage of soldiers in the country's defense against Russia's full-scale invasion. Young people are to be enticed to enlist with, among other things, financial benefits and guaranteed education.
In the future, it is possible that the military conscription age will also be lowered from 25 years, says Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Pavlo Palisa.
“The country’s defense is the duty and obligation of every citizen,” he says.
As recently as December, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed calls from the United States to lower the mobilization age from the current 25 years, according to AFP.
