Six people are charged with terrorist crimes in Lithuania, accused of trying to sabotage aid shipments to Ukraine with an arson attack.

All six are foreign citizens: a Spaniard, a Colombian, a Spanish-Colombian, a Cuban, a Russian and a Belarusian.

According to the indictment, they planned, on behalf of Russia's military intelligence service GRU, an arson attack against a company in Lithuania that supplies the Ukrainian military with radio equipment. The attack allegedly failed when they were caught by passersby.

The six are charged with attempted terrorist offences, financing terrorist activities and participation in a terrorist organisation. There are four other suspects: three who are internationally wanted and one who is to be extradited.

The group is linked to other attempts to set fires at logistically important sites in Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic.
