Sources: Biden worried about Putin and Kim disrupting election
The White House fears that North Korea will disrupt the US presidential election through military provocations at the end of the election campaign. This is stated by six sources within the Biden administration for NBC News.
North Korea's increasingly close ties with Russia are viewed with particular concern. This means that North Korea's nuclear weapons capacity is increasing and that Vladimir Putin could get Kim Jong-Un to try to create political chaos in the United States, the sources say.
- We are convinced that North Korea will be provocative this year. The question is how much they want to escalate, says a person in the US intelligence service.

Trump: Sure Haley will be on my team
Nikki Haley will be part of Donald Trump's team if he becomes president, Trump told News 12 New York during a visit to the Bronx.
Haley was the Republican who hung on the longest in the race to become the Republican presidential candidate. She was very critical of Trump, but announced this week that she will vote for him in the election.
- We had a nasty campaign, it was quite nasty. But she is a very talented person, and I am convinced that she will be part of our team in some form, absolutely.
Trump is also being pressed about his top three list of potential vice presidents. He won't give a list, but mentions Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, JD Vance and Elise Stefanik as possible names. He promises to make an announcement during the convention in mid-July.

Trump appeared in the Bronx: "Bold that he comes here"
Donald Trump has held his first campaign rally in New York in about eight years. Last night he took the stage in the borough of the Bronx, a Democratic stronghold with mainly black and Hispanic voters.
Trump appeared together with Byron Donalds, a black congressman who is rumored to be running as Trump's running mate in the election.
The campaign meeting is seen as part of Trump's attempt to attract minorities to vote for him.
The meeting was received with mixed feelings, according to the BBC. Some protested Trump while others expressed some admiration for the courage to leave the comfort zone.
- It is a bold move by him to come here to the Bronx, says one man to the BBC.

Trump's moves analyzed: Undermining the election daily
Donald
Trump makes unsubstantiated statements that cast doubt on the
legitimacy of the presidential election an average of once a day,
according to a New York Times analysis based on social media posts,
interviews and appearances at campaign events.
Similar
moves were made before the 2016 and 2020 elections but have greatly
increased in scope since he announced his current candidacy. It
began already in November 2022 and deals, among other things, with
claims that the indictments against Trump are a way of trying to
influence the election campaign.
Trump uses formulations that there is "cheating" going on and that the election is "rigged".
