Military prosecutor says Rafah 'incident' under investigation - Unrwa: 'Hell on Earth'
Israel's top military prosecutor says it is taking reports that many civilians were killed in an attack on Rafah very seriously. Reuters reports.

Aid organizations are expressing horror after Israel attacked the Tal as-Sultan tent camp in Rafah, with reports of dozens of dead.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, people were "burned alive" in their tents, Al Jazeera reports. The organization states that hospitals in the area do not have the ability to handle the large number of victims.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa writes with reference to local sources that the death toll has risen to 40 and that most of the victims were women and children.
The camp was close to an Unrwa warehouse with emergency aid, in a zone classified as "safe". Doctors Without Borders writes in a statement that the attack once again shows that "no one is safe anywhere".
Israel states that two high-ranking Hamas members were killed in the attack.

Strong reactions in Europe to the Israeli attack
Several European leaders and politicians condemn Israel's attack on the Tal as-Sultan tent camp in Rafah last night.
French President Emmanuel Macron writes on Platform X that "these operations must stop", and believes that there are no safe areas in Rafah for civilians.
Even Italy, which previously underlined the importance of Israel's right to defend itself, condemns the night's attack.
- It is an increasingly difficult situation, where the Palestinian people find themselves in a pinch [...] and this can no longer be justified, says Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto to the Italian television channel Sky TG24.
In Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the country will do everything in its power to hold Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accountable for the night's attack, writes AFP.

Borrell accuses Israel of ignoring the ICJ's request
EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell accuses Israel of ignoring the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) ruling that the country must cease hostilities in Rafah, reports The Times of Israel.
