Kenyan cops delayed - supposed to fight gangs in Haiti
The Kenyan security force that is on its way to Haiti to assist the country's police in the fight against the criminal gangs has been delayed again. This is reported by several media.
According to the Haitian Times, opponents appealed the government's decision to receive the roughly 1,000 Kenyan police earlier this week. They believe that the decision violates the country's constitution.
Haiti has been asking for support from an international security force since 2022. The project was finally approved last October, but has since run into a series of problems and delays.
