Stoltenberg rejects Russian threats of escalation
NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg plays down the Russian threats directed at the countries in the West after the information that Joe Biden and the United States have now given Ukraine permission to use American weapons to attack targets in Russia. AFP writes.

Zelenskyj is in Stockholm for the Nordic summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is in Sweden, he writes on X. Zelenskyj is to participate in the Nordic-Ukrainian summit on security issues. Among other things, he will meet Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), King Carl XVI Gustaf and representatives from the defense industry.
"We will take important steps to further strengthen the cooperation between our countries in our support for Ukraine. Ukraine's cause is ours," writes Kristersson.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) have signed a new security agreement between Sweden and Ukraine.
- I thank Sweden and the entire Swedish people who stand behind Ukraine, says Zelensky at a press conference at Rosenbad.
The agreement concerns, among other things, the military support of SEK 75 billion Sweden announced last week, writes TT.
Zelenskyj is in Sweden on the occasion of a Nordic-Ukrainian summit. Kristersson is hosting the meeting, where Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Icelandic Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson are also participating.

Double attack on Kharkiv last night – several dead
At least three people have died and over 20 have been injured after Russian attacks on a residential area in Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine. This is stated by the region's governor, TT reports.
First, a five-story building was hit by a robot and caught fire. When the emergency services arrived, there was a second attack on the residential area.
Additional people are feared during riots.

Medvedev with new threats about nuclear weapons: "Not bluffing"
Dmitry Medvedev, former president and deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, directs new nuclear threats against NATO and the alliance's allies.
In a post on Telegram, he writes that the conflict between Russia and the West is getting worse.
"No one can rule out its escalation to the final stage," he writes, referring to the use of tactical nuclear weapons.
Medvedev, who has repeatedly used threats of nuclear weapons in his rhetoric, says that Russia is not bluffing.
