I've been notified of my latest posts that Facebook has geoblocked in Thailand on the orders of the regime. A few times a month, I get several notifications, which shows that Facebook processes the requests in batches. So what does the regime want hidden this time? A THREAD 1/8

There were six posts blocked in the latest batch, dating from April 30 to June 6. So the geoblocking process has taken more than three months in all cases. I wrote in detail about the process here: twitter.com/zenjournalist/ 2/8

Earliest item to be geoblocked was a post from April 30 questioning the fashion sense of Princess Sirivannavari. The Thai regime is supposed to get a court order for each post it wants Facebook to geoblock, but it's not clear to me what law this post broke, if any. 3/8

Second, a post from May 1 on Queen Suthida was blocked. Here's the text of the post plus one of the photos. 4/8

Third post geoblocked, from May 10, was the poster that Vajiralongkorn put on the walls of his palace in 1996 announcing he had banished his second wife Yuvathida "Mom Benz" Polpraserth. Again not clear what law my post breached. 5/8

Fourth, a May 20 post with images of a protest outside Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl by
@JunyaYimprasertand@PixelHELPERwas geoblocked. 6/8

Fifth, they also geoblocked a May 26 post sharing an article by @BILD on Vajiralongkorn being photographed (yet again) in Germany wearing skimpy clothing with one of his mistresses. 7/8

Finally, they geoblocked a June 6 post on another protest by German activist group @PixelHELPER Geoblocking all these posts is totally futile, because I can just repost them, but it gives an interestinginsight into what the regime doesn't want Thais to see. 8/8
