The opposition leader: "We will take the fight our way"
Leader of the Thai opposition party Kao Klai, Chaithawat Tulathon, says the party is "well prepared", when the country's constitutional court now takes up a case that could dissolve the party, reports AFP.
- We will explain to the public how we are going to take this battle our way. It will not affect our work in parliament, he says.
The reformist party came out on top in last year's election, but was nevertheless blocked from government power. Among other things, the party wants to change the country's harsh laws regarding the position of the royal family, which is behind the process in the Constitutional Court.

Thailand's largest opposition party may be disbanded
Thailand's Constitutional Court will take up a request to dissolve the main opposition party Kao Klai (Forward), Reuters reports. The reason is the party's demand to reform the country's strict laws that protect the royal family from criticism.
In January, the same court concluded that the proposal violates the constitution and can be equated with an attempt to overthrow the government of the country where the king is the head of state.
