The Norwegian Parliament was closed on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat. After a couple of hours, all the cordons were lifted and the police announced that it was safe to move around the building again, writes TT.
According to the police, it was about at least two threats that were received via email or social media.
- Last night the Storting received an email with a threat. It was judged not to be genuine. In retrospect, a new threat has since been received. It came to the Oslo police at 10 o'clock today, the police's operation leader Sven Bjelland told Dagbladet when the operation was still ongoing.
He also says that the threat was presented in such a way that "it could not be perceived as a joke".

Politician: "An attack on democracy"
Several politicians react to the bomb threat that came against the Norwegian Storting in Oslo.
- It is an attack on democracy even if it is an empty threat, says member Terje Halleland from the Progress Party, according to TT.
Alfred Bjørlo (V) says that the situation is undramatic and party colleague Guri Melby states that threats are not unusual.
- But it is clear that it is serious, she tells NRK.
The doors to the parliament have been closed and police are on site to secure the building and the surrounding area.
