Seven aid workers have been killed in Gaza.
They were leaving a food warehouse when their vehicle was hit by an Israeli aerial bombardment.
"This is inexcusable," says World Central Kitchen CEO Erin Gore.
The seven aid workers were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Monday night, medical sources told the AP.
On Tuesday morning, the American aid organization World Central Kitchen stated that seven of their employees had died in the attack. They are said to have traveled in two vehicles that were marked with the organization's logo and its route was communicated to the Israeli Defense Forces.
According to KCW, they had been at a warehouse in Deir al-Balah to work on loading over 100 tons of supplies that had arrived by ship.
“This is not just an attack on WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations that are in the most horrible situations where food is used as a weapon of war. This is inexcusable,” said World Central Kitchen CEO Erin Gore.

"Devastated and horrified"
The dead were citizens of Australia, Poland, Great Britain, Palestine and one of them had dual citizenship of the United States and Canada. Their mission was to distribute food and supplies in northern Gaza.
“I am devastated and horrified that we – World Central Kitchen and the world – lost amazing lives today due to a targeted attack by the IDF. The love they had for helping people with food, the determination they showed by proving that humanity is above all, and the imprint they left on countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished,” said Erin Gore.
Now the organization has decided to immediately stop all its activities in Gaza to discuss how to do in the future.
The IDF is said to have told World Central Kitchen that it is investigating the incident.

Netanyahu acknowledges the attack
On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on X and confirmed the airstrike.
"Unfortunately, a tragic case occurred where our forces inadvertently struck innocent people in Gaza," he writes and continues:
"It happens in war. We are investigating what happened, are in contact with the governments and will do everything to prevent it from happening again."
