Schumacher receives damages after fake AI interview
Former F1 star Michael Schumacher receives 2.3 million kroner in damages paid by the German tabloid newspaper Die Aktuelle. This is reported by AFP, which refers to information from the German Bild.
The court decision concerns a text that Die Aktuelle published in 2023. In it, the newspaper claimed to have interviewed the former F1 driver who in 2013 suffered a brain injury after a skiing accident.
However, it later turned out that the interview was in fact faked with the help of AI.
The Schumacher family confirms to AFP that the court's decision was "positive", but has not commented on Bild's information about financial compensation.
