Tories press Starmer on televised debates: 'Missing plan'
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is willing to take part in a debate every week until this summer's election, Tory sources told The Telegraph.
That would mean six debates, but Labor leader Keir Starmer only intends to stand for two. The opposition leader, who has strong support in public opinion, sees no point in so many because he already knows what Sunak will say.
- He will say "everything is fine".
Sunak says he wants an answer to whether Labor intends to implement tax increases, but that Starmer does not dare to stand up.
- He doesn't want to because he lacks a plan.

Cold shower for Sunak – is horse lengths behind Labour
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been hit with bad news, just a couple of days after he called a general election in the pouring rain outside Downing Street.
In a new poll, his conservative Tory party receives just 19 percent of voter support, which means it is 25 percentage points behind Labor with just six weeks to go before the election, The Independent reports.
Michela Morizzo, CEO of the opinion institute Technes, warns that the Tory Party risks getting less than 100 seats in parliament.
- It looks dark for the party. It is hard to imagine anything other than Labor taking a convincing victory on July 4, she says.

Jeremy Corbyn stands as an independent candidate
Former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn is running as an independent candidate in the British election on July 4. This is reported by several media.
Corbyn is standing for Islington North, a constituency he has represented in parliament for more than 40 years. He was forced out of Labor in 2020 after a report into the party's failure to deal with anti-Semitism. He himself believed that the discussions about anti-Semitism were inflated for political reasons.
The Independent writes that Corbyn has a chance to attract voters who are dissatisfied with Labor leader Keir Starmer's stance on the Gaza issue.
Corbyn refused to fully accept the conclusions of the report
